The tranquility of one cup of tea. I regularly come back to this comforting theme as the seasons change, and as they change so do the cups’ look. This one was painted around the time of the rainy season in Japan. It has a few blue hydrangea petals pattern semi-hidden in the cup. After the first strokes it looked like a really uneven surface, worn cup to me, so I added a couple of golden strokes feigning a few repairs in “kintsugi“.
