Hold on with care to the temporary passenger.

It is a new year, and it is time to shake things up a bit. I’ve gone back to sort some of our best photos from Colombia over the holidays, and couldn’t resist inking all the wonderful nature encounters. So get ready for a riot of color and sunshine over the next few weeks. It’s going to be an escapist sort of zen Monday month.

There will be birds from here on, but I couldn’t resist inking this periander metalmark that landed on my hand during a walk.

Everything seems to be so fragile and volatile right now, and so many things “far from touch”. The mood of holding on with care to this pretty little temporary passenger somehow summed up my feelings for the week. We might see the butterfly as the fragile one, but in a sense we are all the temporary passengers holding on to this very fragile blue planet.

In here you are also a temporary passenger on my ink painting planet. What would you like to see or learn more about this year? What type of care, a.k.a. content, would make your journey more beautiful and relaxing? Wishing you a great week ahead and hope you’ll join me on this short journey through Colombia from my Swiss desk.
