By the river gorge, ripe figs burst open to a rising caw.

The autumn cold is settling in, but in Crete figs can still be seen in trees and olive harvest is just beginning. Over the last couple of weeks I had the chance to enjoy some beautiful Mediterranean landscapes in Crete and I will be sharing some of these moments with you.

I took only my black pen and water brush with me, so there will be more monochrome in the coming zen Mondays.

On a separate note, my Kanazawa โ€œtakuhonโ€ print is ready. Keep an eye out out for a โ€œone of manyโ€ postcard post on instagram soon.

Thank you for reading another zen Monday.

Every Monday is zen Monday. Always a weekly dose of Japanese ink painting coupled with one photograph from my archives.
