It is Autumn again. While the leaves fall and creatures slowly head to their burrows, I am finally ready to leave mine. To release a brand new book, and more frequent blog posts.
This new book is titled “Autumn in Japan: An Ink Painter’s Travel Journal”.
About Autumn in Japan
Almost exactly four years ago I left for a month in Japan with a sketchbook in my backpack to paint the Autumn season. What I am releasing in November 26, however will be much more than that. It will be an 85-page long tribute to the centuries-old tradition of the Japanese literary travel diary. And I hope you will join me on this slow, poetic, visual excursion through a different side of Japan. The side I most admire – a quiet inner space somewhere between nature, words and images.
There is so much to celebrate and so many people to thank, I hope some of you will come to Zentralwaescherei on November 26-27. Right now though, I am thinking of all of you following my journey who are not here in Zurich. I have a few things planned to bring you along.
What comes next
First, “Autumn in Japan” will be available to pre-order before November 26. I am not releasing the exact date, because that will go out to all my past edition supporters and journey followers first. To be the first to know when pre-order is open all you have to do is subscribe to my e-letter “The Art Journey” through the box on my landing page http://mafaldatenente.com. Scroll a little, type your email, click subscribe. Nothing else.
Second, I am bringing back zen Mondays. I am picking up my brushes again and my quiet slow corner of the week is going to be switching “homes”. I hope some of you will move with me. Another post on that coming soon!
